Roles at CTV: Executive Director

Executive Director, Paul Dingeman has served the City of St. Clair since the 80's as Chairperson of the St. Clair Cable Commission. Paul's background included over 13 years in Radio Broadcasting in Charlotte, Port Huron, and Detroit, where he served in various capacities from On - Air Personality to Sales, and Sales Management.  Paul has guided the programming efforts of a great group of local Volunteers. There has been--and contuines to--be a group of over forty(40) people who produce programming for CTV. Many of those young volunteers have gone on to careers in broadcasting at WDIV- Detroit,  WNBC- New York, MTV, National Geographic, and numerous careers in Hollywood as editors and producers.  Paul feels one of his greatest accomplishments has been watching the Volunteers succeed in the broadcasting and digital media fields.

Since the first broadcast (consisting of one camera and one microphone) covering the St. Clair "Imagination Station Build" in the Fall 1994, to today, 1000's and 1000's of hours of local community television, high school sports, city council and commission meetings, community meetings, and news events have become the daily fare on CTV.  Paul has done it all...acted as program host, director, producer, and executive producer on many of the CTV programs.

Paul serves on many community boards in the area, including Rotary Club of St. Clair, YMCA Marketing Committee, St. Clair TEC Academy Board, and has received various awards from the Rotary, St. Clair County Community Mental Health, St. Clair Chamber of Commerce, and other community groups to mention a few.

Roles at CTV:  Co-host of Sportszone and on-air sports announcer.
Favorite part of working at CTV:  Getting a chance to "talk about sports", something I always enjoyed doing, is only one aspect.  Meeting the fun people at CTV is another, and being able to be a part of the sports programs in the area is still another.   Married to my wife Dianna, we have three grown children and six grandchildren.  I grew up in this area and played football, basketball, and baseball at Marine City High School. I also played basketball at St. Clair County Community College for a short time before going into the Military in early 1969.  You can normally find me on the golf course these days as my "running" days are pretty much behind me.

Roles at CTV: Direct/Produce
Favorite aspect of working at CTV: I get to try a lot of different things. When I'm working on a project and I have an idea, I have the freedom to explore it. If it works, great! If it's a flop then that's OK too, I just try something else.

Hello! My name is Erik Janiszewski, but Erik J is a lot easier to say, spell, and remember, so I try to stick with that. I do a ton of different things here at CTV and I love it! Right now I am focused on directing and producing our weekly TV shows as well as working on special projects. I really enjoy television production as well as animation and graphic design and I plan on starting my own production company in the future.

Roles at CTV:  Cameraperson for high school football and sometimes soccer.
Favorite aspect of working at CTV:  Being at the stadium on a Friday night for a home football game with our great crew and having one of the best seats in the house (top of the pressbox) through the lens of my camera.

I got involved with CTV through my husband and kids, who were short handed for a broadcast of a soccer game one day, and said "Hey - can you aim and focus?".  I love football and all kinds of sports, so I really enjoy learning the plays, trying to predict the receiver or running back who will take the play for a touchdown. My rooftop camera companion has been Becky Tenniswood for at least 5 years now.  She and all of our crew work hard to make each game the best for our local sports fans!

- After graduating from Capital University in June of 1994, my first job was a
paid internship at Alpena General Hospital in the human resources department. I was
assigned special projects ranging from implementing a new employee identification
badge program, to data entry of union grievances.
-       In June of 1997 after receiving her Master’s degree in social work from
Western Michigan University my wife began work with Hospice of Winston Salem, in
Winston-Salem North Carolina. I began my career with a specialty food retailer, The
Fresh Market Inc. It was at The Fresh Market that I really learned the heart of the
grocery industry, and discovered a new found love for food.   The Fresh Market is an
upscale European style market emphasizing fresh produce and flowers, quality fresh cut
meat, and an in store bakery and deli.   I started as an Assistant manager in Winston-
Salem NC and after one year was promoted to store manager. We moved around
with The Fresh Market and ended up in Indianapolis, IN where I opened the first Fresh
Market in the state. Before leaving to come home to Michigan, I worked as a District
Manager for The Fresh Market, over-seeing stores in Carmel Indiana, Lexington and
Louisville KY, Cincinnati and Columbus Ohio, and Rochester Hill MI.
- When the Farmer Jack in St. Clair became available, Neiman’s was not looking
for another store, but we couldn't pass up a great deal in my dad's hometown.   So two
years later, with lots of hard work and an amazing staff, we are having

After high school I went to school at Specs Howard School of Media Arts for television production. During that time I still did some programs for CTV, and after I graduated I got hired by the City of Richmond as their Cable Coordinator.
